Australian Aladdin table lamp, style 1680   (1950 through 1955 Approx)

Australian lamp model 1680 lamp was manufactured between 1950 and approximatly1955.  Constructed of brass the bowl appears to have been pressed by Australian model 12 tooling  minus the hole for the centre draft tube and with a larger opening for the larger burner threaded insert. Early lamps were mostly fitted with 16A burners (AKA model 14 Super Aladdin).  Starting in 1953 these lamps were fitted with round wick adjustment knob model 21 burners. This short lived lamp was the only Australian manufactured brass table lamp. Finish is chrome plated.

Model 1680 dark red Bakelite filler cap.  Very early lamps may have been fitted with a brass filler cap.
